UI Designer Vs Graphic Designer
First of all, let's see what are the broad differences
between UI designers and graphic
designers. UI designers, where UI is the short form of ‘user interface’,
the job is to figure out that how users and software interact with each other.
On the other hand, a graphic designer chooses colors, images, icons and carries
out some tasks e.g. visuals in order to make the final product according to
their preferences. Below we will discuss in detail these two terms.
What UI DESIGNER:
It's a science, where UI DESIGNER can see that how software and user interact.
For example, when a user gives a command to software, it performs some tasks
and we can say that users and software are interacting with each other. A
practical example is when a user search
for the location of a bank, google shows exact direction to the user. So the prime
goal of a UI designer is the ensure a positive experience of a user with
software without any complexity. There is no hard and fast rule for UI design
to ensure a positive experience to users but one should make sure to keep users
attracted for example doing spoon feeding which means that showing all
directions/tasks a user might be willing to perform.
How UI design work:
In order to ensure a positive user experience, it is important to understand
the user’s behavior, for example, while using an app, game, or website what are
some visuals/buttons/signs users use to navigate or to complete his/her tasks
using that software. The job of a UI designer is the ensure the availability of
those visuals or buttons that the user will use for navigation. A UI designer
has to tackle the human mind, so in order to make it easy for the user to
navigate without spending a lot of time with software, some visuals, and colors
are important as well as the size of the button for instance.
What is a Graphic designer:
graphic designers are visual communicators, they communicate their messages
through artworks that can be done both by hand and by computer software like
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP. Graphic designers use his/her skills to communicate messages
non verbally to impress and inspire people and attract their attention towards
themselves. Almost every organization uses images/visuals to stay in the
viewer's minds for different reasons. Examples of typical graphic designer
employers are advertising agencies,
television and broadcasting agencies, book magazines, and newspaper
agencies.
How graphic design
work: there are many tools/software which can be used to carry out graphic
design work. Examples of some very easy to understand and simple graphic design
software are ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR, and COREL DRAW. A graphic
designer uses different software to create logos, icons, photos, and layouts
for companies like books and magazine publishers, websites, apps, brands, NGOs
and government departments, etc. A simples logo, for instance, can be created
by combinings different colors, signs, icons and fonts etc which will
communicate some meaning about the product/service inline with the mission or
vision statement of the organisation.
